Hopefully my explanation of this problem makes sense. When I play The Sims 3, I find that it constantly will freeze up for about five seconds before it continues playing. When I say "freeze up", I mean EVERYTHING stops. All the characters stop moving, time stops, I can't do anything, etc.

Webb27 nov. 2024 · Hey try right clicking the sims icon on the desktop and going to properties. Once you're there go to the compatibility tab and change the format that the game runs in. I had it running on windows xp mode or something and so when I changed it to windows 7, I haven't had a crash yet. WebbI am having this same problem. And it is definitely caused by the island paradise expansion. On my previous computer my sims 3 was working fine until I installed island paradise. Then the sims would start freezing. The background sound and visuals and even fairy sims' wings would keep moving but the sime, mouse and clock would freeze.
