Fabricate up some sort of front side for it, maybe out of sheet metal. Use the axles that are under it and leave the frame how it is. I cant imagine that that little chunk under there would be much heavier than 3" channel.

I guess it would be personal preference but I don't see a rubbery compound holding up well to high traffic in a Jeep tub.
